In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

I'm old have have never used a electronic fish finder machine. Got a Helix 7 MEGA CHRIP SI for my 75 birthday, not sure if it was a good gift.... I'm basically lost ! Of all the tutorials I have watched in regards to the Helix, you are the first to adjust the Sharpness setting in SI Enhance for Side Imaging yet not in Down Imaging. Can you explain why?

Downscan looks like crap. I just bought 2 Helix 7 G3 Mega SI units. Downscan looks same as yours. Not even worth having to me. Side scan is pretty good. Gonna be taking mine back and going with Lowrance. Thanks for sharing. Now I know its not just my units or the lake I'm on.

No heat signatures, it is a harder return of the ping. Harder returns show a different color than soft pings.

Keep your rod tip up, let the fish run when it runs, and when it stops do the crank and reel. Pull your rod up, put your rod down and reel. Takes the stress off your reel and lets the rod work for you.

Really like your videos so far man! No this isn't spam haha. Love that you were throwing spinnerbaits. The other fishing UA-camrs don't really use them that often. Also digging the boat. I'm in the process of actually looking for a boat that I really like. I wanted the tracker but I read a bunch of bad things about it versus brands like Lowe, G3, and of course Lund which are known for their good quality. Any issues with it so far?
